When the blower will not start

Fresh correctly mixed fuel, spark, air flow, and compression all matter. Repeated pulling with the choke closed can flood the engine and make the original problem less obvious.

  • Fuel condition
  • Spark plug
  • Air filter
  • Primer and fuel lines

When it only runs with the choke on

A warm engine that still needs choke usually has a fuel-delivery or mixture problem. Restricted carburetor passages, a damaged fuel line, or an intake leak can cause lean running.

  • Fuel filter and tank vent
  • Carburetor passages
  • Fuel lines and intake connections

Describe when the problem happens

Mention whether the blower fails at idle, during acceleration, or after it warms up. That detail is more useful than guessing which part should be replaced.
